the festival starts into its second edition: be kind presents four evenings of cross-genre music in the spectacular brewhouse of berlin's old kindl brewery.
the unique architecture of this original 1930s brewhouse, with its enormous boilers and mighty cathedral hall, will set the scene for berlin musicians from the varied fields of jazz, electronic, singer-songwriter, early and contemporary music.
they will set the space resonating with sound ideas and specially tailored concepts, including mobile performances.
the be kind festival focuses on nuanced transparency instead of thumping beats. one of its leitmotifs is an artful, pointed slowness, as an artistic counterpoint to the general fast pace of life. be kind thus becomes a utopian island in the midst of the metropolitan surf.
included in the ticket price is a festival dish – a vegan meal that varies each evening – served between the evening’s two concerts. the food, like the music, is committed to the principle of deceleration
